The Golden Guide to
Hallucinogenic Plants (out
of print but posted in its
entirety on Erowid) written
by the late Richard Evans
Schultes. Schultes spent
seventeen years exploring
the Upper Amazon in the
1940s and 1950s, visiting
more different
Ayahuasca-using tribes than
anyone ever has before or
since and carefully
observing and recording
their
use of Ayahuasca and other
plants. He is considered the
greatest authority in
history on the
cross-cultural use of
Ayahuasca, and did more than
any other individual to
bring Ayahuasca to
scientific attention.

This
is a cactus and is not part
of the Ayahuasca brew;
though it is
one of the entheogenic plants
most utilized for
healing by shamans today;
hence the reason for my
including it here.

"I have participated in seven
San Pedro ceremonies. Some
of my
experiences were written
about in the
book about San Pedro by Ross
Heaven "The Hummingbird's
Journey to God."
San Pedro is still
relatively unknown as plant
teacher, and some see
it as a plant teacher of the
future, whereas ayahuasca's
time is now." -

For me San Pedro has become
incredibly wise teacher who
deserves the
utmost respect, it healed me
on levels where Ayahuasca
does not have
access. Combination
Ayahuasca with San Pedro
taken apart on separate
occasions is something which
transforms you completely.
